About the Index
The Nixon Index scores public-corruption cases against one fixed formula, published before any case is ruled. The standard unit is the Nixon. The reference artifact is Watergate, scored retroactively at 100. Every input cites a public record, and the arithmetic is shown on every ruling. The scores are opinions derived from that method; the records they rest on are listed so anyone can check them.
The Index takes no party. A ruling that spares one side and a ruling that indicts it are produced by the same five factors and the same weights. The method is the argument.

Corrections and disputes are welcome and are the point of publishing the inputs. If a record cited here is wrong, incomplete, or has been superseded, write to nixonindex@gmail.com with the document. Rulings are revised in public, and revisions get their own entries.
